Plan Review, Inspection and Administrative Services

The City of Alhambra, California is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive plan review, inspection, and administrative services. The agency needs to ensure that commercial and residential construction documents conform to current California Building, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire, Electrical, Energy, and Green Building Standards Codes, as well as local ordinances. This initiative solves the agency's need for external technical expertise to validate construction plans, manage deferred submittals, and handle revisions efficiently. The scope of work covers the review and validation of construction documents and the provision of Certified Access Specialist Program reviews and recommendations on an as-needed basis. The selected contractor must deliver electronic lists of required items, corrections, or clarifications to applicants and the agency using plan review software, tracking software, email, or other electronic means. Additionally, the contractor must review deferred submittals, revisions, and proposed Alternate Means and Methods requests at established hourly rates, provide stamped approved plans upon project approval, and respond to agency inquiries within one business day. Eligible bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is requesting budget proposals from bidders to establish the cost of these services.
