Police Extra Duty Coordinator Service

The City of Spokane, Washington, is seeking a vendor to provide police extra-duty coordinator services. The agency needs to solve the administrative challenge of managing, scheduling, and monitoring extra-duty police assignments. The selected coordinator will develop job duties for each assignment while strictly applying the policies of the city police department, the city, and applicable union contracts. The scope of work requires the vendor to provide independent problem solving and management support for the extra-duty program. The coordinator must monitor all working conditions, including changing hours, equipment needs, the number of officers, and any personnel changes at job sites. Additionally, the vendor must coordinate assignments directly with clients and officers, provide guidance to both parties, and maintain dedicated phone and cell phone lines with voicemail. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this contract. The agency expects the performance of the coordination work to occur offsite. The contract period will span two years, and the agency is currently looking for budget proposals to determine the cost.
