Safe Streets and Roads for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan Service

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough in Alaska is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a Safe Streets and Roads for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. This project aims to establish design standards, set priorities, and identify actions necessary to enhance roadway safety throughout the Borough. The agency is trying to solve safety challenges for all user classes, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, ATV and motorcyclists, motorists, personal conveyance and micromobility users, and commercial vehicle operators. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to create a long-term strategy and a framework for road standards to guide the building, expanding, improving, and maintaining of roads. Specific tasks include project management and coordination, plan development, data collection and review, and the creation of an ArcGIS Story Map or Hub site. The vendor must also conduct stakeholder and public engagement, draft administrative and final plans, develop road standards, and perform a service area road evaluation. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to be conducted offsite. The budget for this project is not specified, and the agency is looking for cost proposals from bidders.
