The City of Shreveport in Louisiana is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive lawn care services for a government authority. The agency requires the selected vendor to furnish all labor, tools, specialized equipment, transportation, and safety gear, including steel-toed shoes, ear noise suppressors, gloves, and safety eyeglasses. This initiative aims to maintain the aesthetic and safety standards of the government property through regular, professional groundskeeping. The scope of work covers mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal over a one-year contract period. Lawns must be mowed approximately every two weeks during the growing season, resulting in an estimated eighteen cuttings, though the agency reserves the right to adjust this schedule. Trimming and edging with a monofilament trimmer must occur during each cutting around sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, fences, street curbs, buildings, flowerbeds, and other stationary or inaccessible objects. Additionally, the agency requires the daily raking and removal of trash, bottles, leaves, paper, grass clippings, and twigs or small tree limbs from the property. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within the United States. While the physical lawn care performance occurs on-site in Shreveport, the agency classifies the overall work location as offsite for the bidder's primary operations. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a pre-set funding limit or specific evaluation criteria and key dates in the initial request.
