Youth Team Sports Funding Service

The Wayne County Department of Social Services in Lyons, New York is seeking a vendor to provide a youth team sports funding service. The agency is trying to expand local sports opportunities, particularly in under-resourced communities where such programs are limited. The initiative aims to utilize positive youth development principles to improve physical health, mental well-being, future employment readiness, and community cohesion among local youth. The scope of work covers sports programs where individuals compete on behalf of a group of two or more youth against opposing teams, including team tennis, team golf, and racing sports like swimming or skiing. The selected provider must deliver services that increase physical activity, improve social and emotional skills, and help young leaders emerge to reduce discrimination. All performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations located within the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the financial scope. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 15, 2026.
