Design Engineering Services

The government authority located in Illinois is seeking design engineering services to support various projects throughout the agency. The agency needs to solve infrastructure planning, design, and maintenance challenges by securing qualified engineering expertise. The scope of work covers preparing contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates, along with supporting engineering analysis. The selected provider will perform general studies, identify and prepare grant applications for project funding, and manage various project permitting processes. Requested tasks include roadway segment and corridor design, traffic signal design, geometric studies, traffic studies, and intersection design inclusive of counts and capacity analyses. The agency also requires Complete Streets analysis, maintenance of traffic development, detour route coordination including Illinois Department of Transportation Detour Committee meetings, and geographic information system services. Additional requirements span data collection, topographic survey services, base map preparation, and geotechnical investigations including Clean Construction Demolition Debris testing and analysis. The scope further encompasses land acquisition services such as plats, legal descriptions, appraisals, review appraisals, negotiations, and document recording. Finally, the agency requires bridge and culvert design, drainage and flooding solutions, bridge inspections, condition reports, bridge type studies, and load rating analysis. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based solely in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted onsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed specific evaluation criteria or key dates in the project description.
