Wildfire Analysis and Assessment Service

The City of Pocatello, Idaho, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a comprehensive wildfire analysis and assessment service. The agency requires a wildfire vulnerability assessment and analysis, a prioritized mitigation assessment, and a prioritization and mitigation plan to address local wildfire risks. This project aims to improve integration with other large-scale risk analyses, including insurance company risk modeling and multi-state strategic initiatives. The scope of work demands a parcel-by-parcel vulnerability assessment that considers specific on-the-ground conditions. The contractor must deliver maps, graphics, simulation models, and visualizations that the agency can incorporate into planning and mapping software or use for community outreach and education. Additionally, the final system must be capable of accepting ongoing hardening and mitigation progress updates to refine the wildfire analysis over time. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency will allow the selected contractor to perform the work either onsite in Pocatello or offsite. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this procurement no later than June 01, 2026, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the project budget.
