Breastfeeding Peer Counsellor Services

The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services is seeking a vendor to implement breastfeeding peer counselor services throughout the state of Delaware. The agency aims to increase breastfeeding rates, frequency, and duration among eligible pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, with a specific emphasis on exclusive breastfeeding. Through this initiative, the agency intends to decrease breastfeeding barriers and health inequities, grow partnerships for peer counselor services, and meet or exceed Healthy People 2030 goals. The selected vendor must perform all work onsite in Dover, Delaware. The agency requires the vendor to establish the initiative as a premier breastfeeding promotion and support program. The resulting contract will span a one-year period. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is requesting budget proposals and has not disclosed a pre-determined funding limit.
