Commissioning Agent Services

The Rhode Island Convention Center Authority in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a commissioning agent to review and optimize facility systems. The agency needs to ensure effective commissioning by verifying the accessibility of test ports, monitoring points, and related features. The selected agent will evaluate the energy efficiency and layout adequacy of the building shell, HVAC systems, and lighting systems. The scope of work requires reviewing envelope design and assemblies for thermal and water integrity, moisture vapor control, and assembly life. The agency also requires a review of strategies and sequences of operation for HVAC, lighting, fire control, emergency power, and security control systems to ensure adequacy and efficiency. Additionally, the agent must analyze the layout of commissioned systems and their impact on overall facility operations and maintenance. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all contract work to be performed offsite. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than May 31, 2026. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for cost proposals.
