Accessibility Grant Program Service

The City of Seal Beach, California, is seeking qualified contractors to provide accessibility grant program services for income-qualified senior residents within the Leisure World Seal Beach community. The program aims to support aging in place, improve safety, and increase accessibility for residents with mobility limitations. The agency intends to establish a pool of qualified contractors using standardized pricing to perform these accessibility-related construction services. The scope of work covers specific bathroom accessibility modifications to assist eligible residents. Requested services include fiberglass or cast-iron tub modifications, walk-in shower conversions, deglazing and refinishing, and glass shower enclosure replacements. Contractors will also install grab bars, construct or install shower benches, install agency-height or Hi-Boy toilets, and perform minor accessibility-related plumbing or bathroom improvements. The agency is establishing a contract period of three years for these services. All performing contractors must be located onshore within the United States, and the physical work will take place offsite at the designated residential locations. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and pricing structure. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 8, 2026.
