Special, Conflicts and Labor Counsel Services

The Camden County Counsel in New Jersey requires special, conflicts, and labor counsel services to handle legal matters when conflicts of interest or other circumstances prevent the internal county counsel office from providing representation. The selected legal counsel will work under the direction of the county counsel on an as-assigned basis. The scope of work covers a broad range of legal areas, including tort and contract litigation, civil rights litigation, real estate transactions, and public procurement matters. The designated counsel will also manage labor matters, such as representing the county in labor union negotiations or arbitrations, alongside other labor-related legal issues. Additionally, the legal representation extends to municipal court matters, civil commitment matters, and certain contempt proceedings. The agency requires all performing organizations to be onshore United States organizations, and the legal services will be performed offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for these legal services. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding this procurement no later than June 12, 2026.
