The City of Fort Myers, Florida, is seeking a qualified vendor to administer the municipality's Drug-Free Workplace Program. The agency requires a partner to ensure all testing procedures strictly adhere to Florida statutory chain-of-custody requirements and to provide ongoing policy review, guidance, and consultation as state and federal regulations change. The scope of work covers multiple testing categories, including pre-employment testing for applicants with conditional job offers, routine fitness-for-duty testing, and rapid-response reasonable suspicion testing based on documented observations. The selected vendor must also administer a scientifically valid random drug and alcohol testing program for safety-sensitive, Department of Transportation, and union-designated positions. To facilitate these services, the agency requires access to an online ordering system with nationwide capabilities, accessible local collection sites, and mobile or on-site collection services upon request. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The physical performance of the drug testing and collection work must take place onsite in the Fort Myers area. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through the designated online portal, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
