Fire Alarm Inspection, Smoke Detector Sensitivity Test, Sprinkler Inspection, Fire Hydrant Flowing Test and Hood Inspections, Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services

The Western Virginia Regional Jail Authority in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive fire protection system inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair services. The agency requires these services to ensure the continuous operational readiness and safety of its facility systems. The scope of work covers seven fire alarm panels and all associated devices, nine hundred forty-five smoke heads, three kitchen hoods, and twelve fire hydrants. The selected contractor must perform one annual fire alarm system inspection, four quarterly smoke detector sensitivity tests, and four quarterly plus one annual sprinkler inspections. The agency also requires two bi-annual hood inspections and one annual fire hydrant flowing test. Properly trained, experienced, and competent fire protection technicians must perform all inspections and notify facility management immediately upon discovering any defective work or materials. The agency limits eligibility to onshore United States organizations. The performance of the work will take place offsite, and the contract period will run for one year.
