Legislative Lobbying Services

The City of Garden, Georgia is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive legislative lobbying services to advance the municipality's interests at the state level. The city needs to solve the challenge of tracking, analyzing, and influencing state-level legislative actions that impact local governance, specifically in the areas of municipal finance, zoning, public works, and public safety. To address this, the selected partner will assist the mayor, city council, director of governmental affairs and strategic initiatives, and city manager in developing a comprehensive state legislative platform prior to each legislative session. The scope of work requires active legislative monitoring of all bills, resolutions, and amendments introduced in the general assembly that may affect the city. The chosen provider must engage in direct advocacy and communication with members of the state house of representatives, the state senate, and executive branch officials to advance the city's annual legislative agenda. Additionally, the service provider must deliver weekly written updates during the legislative session, monthly briefings during the interim, and attend mayor and council meetings upon request to provide oral testimony. Bidders must perform all work onsite in Garden, Georgia, and the agency restricts eligibility to onshore vendors located within the United States. The city is requesting proposals to establish the budget for these services rather than providing a pre-determined funding limit.
