The City of Richfield, Minnesota is seeking an executive search firm to conduct a comprehensive and inclusive recruitment process for a leadership position. The agency needs to solve the challenge of identifying, attracting, and hiring a highly qualified and diverse pool of candidates for an executive-level local government role, specifically a manager or administrator position. The selected firm will manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from the initial profiling and outreach to the final candidate screening and transition support. The scope of work requires the firm to conduct an initial meeting with the city council and designated staff to establish the project schedule, communication expectations, and desired candidate qualifications. The firm must develop and implement a targeted recruitment and outreach strategy, manage all applicant communications, and facilitate the interview process. Additionally, the firm must conduct thorough background investigations and reference checks for finalist candidates, as well as provide transition resources to support the successful integration of the new hire into the organization and community. Eligible bidders must be United States organizations with demonstrated experience conducting executive-level local government recruitments in similarly sized communities. The work may be performed either onsite in Richfield or offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost of these services.
