Construct Household Hazardous Waste Facility Services

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Solid Waste Division of Public Works in Palmer, Alaska, requires the construction of a new Solid Waste Household Hazardous Waste Facility. This new facility will replace the existing waste drop-off building adjacent to the current scale house. The agency is seeking a contractor to construct a new metal-framed building with interior waste handling areas, a loading dock, mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes, site drop-off areas, utilities, site work, and a septic system. The scope of work covers excavation, civil work, roadway work, paving, striping, site lighting installation, and the installation of a new septic system. Power, water, and gas utilities have already been extended to the site by the agency. The project also requires site restoration, topsoil placement, hydroseeding, and seeding improvements. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. Performance of the work will take place offsite at the designated location in Palmer, Alaska. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost. The agency will conduct a pre-bid meeting on June 12, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions regarding the project no later than June 29, 2026.
