Secure Document Shredding Services

The City of Lakewood, Colorado, requires secure document shredding services to protect confidential information across its main campus and satellite locations. The agency is seeking a vendor to provide and maintain locked, secure 64-gallon bins and console cabinets, or equivalent containers, for the collection of sensitive materials. To resolve its document disposal needs, the agency requires off-site shredding with a certificate of destruction provided upon completion of each service. The scope of work covers the physical collection of materials on a regularly scheduled basis, with a preference for every four weeks. The selected provider must service all main campus buildings on the same day, and preferably all satellite locations on that same day as well. The agency also requires occasional pick-up of boxed materials and full bins upon request, and the provider must allow minimal but reasonable restrictions on shredding materials. Operations require the provider to make a courtesy call to the city contact 30 to 60 minutes prior to arrival on service days. The provider must communicate any schedule changes to the city at least five days before the scheduled pick-up. Because restrictions to non-shredding trucks limit what can be placed in the consoles and bins, the agency requires appropriate vehicle accommodation. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States of America. The performance of the shredding work must take place offsite. Bidders must submit proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposal pricing rather than disclosing a set budget. The contract period will run for one year.
