Family Finding Services

The Arlington County government in Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide family finding services for children in foster care. The agency needs to identify, locate, and engage relatives and fictive kin of children currently placed in non-relative foster homes. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to conduct comprehensive searches for relatives and fictive kin within ninety days of receiving a referral. The vendor must communicate with potential caregivers to assess their interest and capability to foster, while actively considering the child's own preferences in the recruitment and placement process. Additionally, the vendor must utilize provided background information to create electronic genograms of each child's family tree. Eligible bidders must be organizations based in the United States, as the agency limits participation to onshore entities. The agency allows the work to be performed either onsite in Arlington or offsite.
