RFI for Artemis IV Alternate Communication System

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Houston, Texas is seeking information to identify mature services and user terminals that can augment the primary communication system for the Artemis IV mission. The agency is trying to solve the challenge of ensuring continuous, high-bandwidth transmission of mission data in the dynamic lunar environment to support crewed space exploration. To address this, the agency is requesting end-to-end system concepts for an alternate communication system, specifically requiring a high-rate system capable of streaming live 4k imagery. Eligibility for this opportunity is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Regarding budget, the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine cost structures and viability. The agency will evaluate the submitted concepts based on their maturity and their ability to contribute to the success of the Artemis program.
