Community Wildfire Protection Plan Services

The City of Temecula, California, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive community wildfire protection plan services. The agency needs a holistic plan that identifies shovel-ready fuel reduction projects and mitigation efforts to reduce wildfire risks. The selected proponent will prepare an update that encompasses a step-by-step implementation plan and an ongoing monitoring plan spanning the next twenty-five years, and potentially in perpetuity, while simultaneously addressing environmental concerns. The project requires the proponent to research and prioritize plans based on risk modeling, cost-effectiveness, practicality, and acceptability by CAL FIRE. The agency expects the plan to include treatments that eliminate the vertical and horizontal continuity of vegetative fuels to reduce the rate of fire spread, duration, intensity, fuel ignitability, or ignition of tree crowns. The scope also includes collaborating with interested environmental organizations, responsive agencies, property owners, Tribal Governments, specifically the Pechanga, and other identified stakeholders. Only onshore United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the solicitation no later than June 29, 2026.
