The City of Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive legal services for the Office of the City Attorney. The agency needs to address a wide range of legal issues by securing professional advice, legal opinions, and representation across multiple areas of law. This initiative aims to ensure the City has continuous, expert legal guidance to support its daily operations, governance, and regulatory compliance. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to prepare, review, comment on, and modify City contracts, ordinances, easements, deeds, leases, and other legal documents. The vendor must attend City Council meetings, work sessions, and other meetings to address questions from council members, citizens, and City employees. Additionally, the role involves coordinating directly with the City Attorney to manage legal issues and representing the City in legal matters, including making court appearances. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to occur offsite. The contract period will span three years, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget and pricing structure.
