Legislative Lobbyist Services

The City of Garden, Georgia is seeking professional legislative lobbying and governmental affairs services to represent municipal interests before the state general assembly, the office of the governor, and various state agencies. The agency requires an proactive advocate to monitor, report on, and influence state legislation and administrative actions that impact municipal operations, local home rule authority, and strategic development goals. The scope of work covers tracking all bills, resolutions, and amendments introduced in the general assembly that affect the city, specifically regarding municipal finance, zoning, public works, and public safety. The selected consultant will assist the mayor and council, the director of governmental affairs and strategic initiatives, and the city manager in developing a comprehensive state legislative platform prior to each session. Required reporting includes weekly written updates during the legislative session, monthly briefings during the interim, and oral testimony or updates at mayor and council meetings upon request. Additionally, the consultant will identify state-level funding opportunities and facilitate meetings between city officials and state agency heads. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
