The California-based government authority is seeking a qualified legal professional or organization to provide comprehensive legal services, advice, and representation. The agency needs to navigate legal systems, understand its rights and obligations, and resolve various legal matters. The selected provider will regularly represent and advise the Board and staff, recommend legally compliant policies, and assist with Public Records Act requests. The scope of work covers preparing, reviewing, and revising staff documents such as contracts, ordinances, land use decisions, and staff reports. The agency also requires legal research and counseling for property transactions, leases, personnel matters, liability situations, and pension law. Additionally, the provider must offer representation in civil matters, administrative hearings, arbitration, and appellate proceedings. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to occur offsite. Bidders must submit proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
