Legislative Lobbyist Services

The City of Garden, Georgia is seeking professional legislative lobbying and governmental affairs services to represent its interests before the General Assembly, the Office of the Governor, and various state agencies. The agency requires an initiative-taking advocate to monitor, report on, and influence state legislation and administrative actions that impact municipal operations, local home rule authority, and the city’s strategic development goals. The selected partner will track all bills, resolutions, and amendments introduced in the General Assembly affecting the city, specifically regarding municipal finance, zoning, public works, and public safety. The scope of work includes assisting the mayor and council, the director of governmental affairs and strategic initiatives, and the city manager in developing a comprehensive state legislative platform prior to each session. The agency requires weekly written updates during the legislative session, monthly briefings during the interim, and oral testimony or updates at mayor and council meetings upon request. Additionally, the advocate must identify state-level funding opportunities and facilitate meetings between city officials and state agency heads. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders can submit their responses digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
