Forensic Pathology Services

The Sacramento County government authority in California is seeking forensic pathology providers to furnish professional services for deaths falling under the jurisdiction of the coroner, pursuant to applicable state law. The agency requires these services to assist in determining the cause and manner of death through forensic examinations, autopsies, consultation, reporting, and expert testimony. The selected provider will perform medicolegal autopsies and external examinations to resolve these investigative needs. The scope of work includes reviewing and evaluating investigative reports, medical records, toxicology results, laboratory findings, radiology studies, photographs, and other relevant evidence. The provider must consult with coroner personnel regarding death investigations and forensic findings. Additionally, the agency requires consultation with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, public health agencies, defense counsel, and other authorized entities as requested by the county. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency specifies that performance of the work will take place offsite.
