Physician and Medical Director Services

The Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive physician and medical director services. The agency requires these medical services to be available twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty-five days per year, with daily on-site visits from Monday through Friday starting no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and continuous on-call coverage. The selected provider will solve the agency's need for ongoing, integrated medical treatment and evaluation that promotes functional rehabilitation or maintenance for all residents. The scope of work covers timely and complete medical assessments, physical examinations, and immediate care orders for all newly admitted residents. The medical director must establish levels of care, identify mental illness if detected, designate activity levels, and complete medical histories within timeframes appropriate to each resident's condition. Ongoing duties include performing medical reviews at least once every thirty days for the first ninety days post-admission and every sixty days thereafter, conducting annual physicals, and writing, signing, and dating progress notes after reviewing each resident's comprehensive care plan. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted onsite at the Jackson, Mississippi facility.
