Supplemental Correctional Nursing Services

The Plumas County Sheriff's Office in Quincy, California is seeking a professional nursing services contractor to provide supplemental correctional nursing services. The agency needs to ensure continuous medical coverage and medication management for inmates within its correctional facility. This procurement aims to secure a reliable partner to address the daily healthcare needs of the incarcerated population through consistent on-site and on-call staffing. The scope of work requires one nurse to be present on-site at the correctional facility Monday through Sunday for a minimum of sixteen hours per day between 0600 and 2200 hours. Additionally, the contractor must provide one nurse on-call at all other times, including holidays, to deliver call-back nursing services as requested by the facility. Nurses will set up, monitor, and dispense all prescription medications to inmates on a daily basis as required or requested by the designated medical group. All participating nurses must be supervised by doctors associated with the North Fork Family Medicine practice group, unless the agency accepts an alternative physician-supervision arrangement in the proposal. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The performance of the administrative work will be offsite, though the nursing delivery itself occurs at the Quincy correctional facility. The agency is establishing a contract period of three years.
