Physician and Medical Director Services

The Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, Mississippi, requires continuous, comprehensive physician and medical director services to manage the clinical care of its residents. The agency is seeking a qualified provider to deliver timely medical assessments, establish levels of care, identify mental illnesses, and designate activity levels for all newly admitted residents. This initiative aims to ensure that every resident receives an immediate, appropriate medical care plan, physical examinations upon admission, and ongoing primary medical coverage. The scope of work covers twenty-four-hour clinical coverage, three hundred sixty-five days per year, with daily weekday visits by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant starting no earlier than 7:00 a.m. The selected medical director must establish physician orders for immediate care and conduct medical reviews at least once every thirty days for the first ninety days post-admission, and every sixty days thereafter. Additionally, the provider must perform annual physicals, conduct more frequent evaluations as indicated by resident conditions, and document all progress notes, medications, and treatments within each resident's comprehensive care plan. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all contracted clinical work to be performed onsite at the facility in Collins, Mississippi.
