Physician and Medical Director Services

The Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive physician and medical director services. The agency requires these services to ensure newly admitted and existing residents receive timely medical assessments, appropriate care plans, and continuous medical oversight. The selected provider must deliver services twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty-five days per year, to maintain the health, functional rehabilitation, and safety of the residents. The scope of work covers conducting physical examinations and establishing levels of care, mental illness identification, and activity designations for all newly admitted residents. The medical director must establish physician orders for immediate care and complete a medical assessment, including history and physical examination, within a timeframe appropriate to the resident's condition. Daily weekday visits by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant must begin no earlier than 7:00 a.m., and on-call services must remain available at all times. The chosen provider must perform medical reviews of residents at least once every thirty days for the first ninety days post-admission, and every sixty days thereafter, alongside conducting annual physicals. The agency requires ongoing medical treatment, progress note documentation, and regular reviews of each resident's comprehensive care plan, including medications and treatments. The project requires onsite performance, and eligibility is restricted to onshore, United States organizations. The agency is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget.
