Physician and Medical Director Services

The Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi, requires a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive physician and medical director services. The agency needs to ensure that all newly admitted residents receive timely, complete medical assessments and physical examinations to establish levels of care, identify mental illness, and designate activity levels. This initiative solves the problem of maintaining continuous, high-quality medical oversight and regulatory compliance for the residents under the agency's care. The scope of work covers twenty-four-hour medical coverage, three hundred sixty-five days a year, with daily weekday visits by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant starting no earlier than 7:00 a.m. The selected medical director must establish immediate care orders and conduct medical reviews for residents at least once every thirty days for the first ninety days post-admission, and every sixty days thereafter.
