Belize - Climate Information Communication Strategy and Action Plan Service

The National Meteorological Service of Belize is seeking a vendor to develop a climate change communication strategy and action plan. The agency needs to ensure that climate information and knowledge products are useful, effective, and accessible for maximum utility by all users. This initiative aims to solve communication gaps by identifying and articulating the various channels and mediums required to transmit and disseminate climate information to diverse stakeholders. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to conduct an assessment identifying the barriers that affect the communication of climate information to stakeholders within the agriculture, fisheries, tourism, water, health, forestry, and energy sectors. Following this assessment, the vendor must develop an action plan detailing the specific steps required to resolve these barriers and facilitate ease of communication. The vendor will then draft the climate information communication strategy and action plan, and conduct a gender and socially inclusive workshop to validate the draft deliverables. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in Belize. The agency allows the performance of the work to take place offsite. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 15, 2026. Responses to the solicitation can be submitted digitally via email or through an online portal, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
