Language Interpretation and Translation Services

The agency is seeking a contractor to provide language interpretation and translation services to minimize language barriers with the public. The project covers telephonic language interpreting services, state-wide on-site language interpreting services, and written-document language translation services. The requested scope includes verbal interpretation, word-for-word document translation, and verbal sight translation in a maximum number of languages for both oral and written communications. The agency requires interpreters who possess experience and training in the operations of legal proceedings and who are fluent in both languages involved in the interpretation. Bidders must not assume that a majority of the needed interpretation services will be legal in nature, as requests may also pertain to general informational exchanges and communications regarding construction projects. Translators must possess current professional certification plus a minimum of two years of experience in all phases of language translations. For verbal telephonic language interpretation, the contractor must make services available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The contractor's telephone system must provide clear telephone connections, minimized connection times, and conference-calling capabilities. The agency is restricting eligibility to onshore bidders located in the United States only, and the performance of the work will take place both offsite and onsite. The contract period will be for one year. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost. A pre-bid meeting will be held on June 23, 2026, and all questions must be submitted no later than July 1, 2026.
