High-Throughput Embarked Data Transfer Solution

The United States Navy is seeking a high-throughput embarked data transfer solution to enable rapid data package transmission off embarked Navy platforms. The agency needs to solve the challenge of transferring large volumes of data from maritime vessels to shore-based facilities under constrained operational conditions. To address this, the project requires the development of a prototype small form factor device, with a total stowed volume of one cubic foot including the transceiver, along with all necessary integration software. The scope of work covers the creation of the hardware prototype and the software capabilities required to integrate the system with existing Navy infrastructure. The selected contractor must demonstrate the full end-to-end data transmission process between a surface combatant equipped with Combat System Engineering Agent software and a government ashore analysis and support activity. The agency also requires consideration of dual-use applications, specifically extending these technologies to expeditionary or remote use cases that demand exceptionally high throughput data transmissions. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to take place offsite at the contractor's facilities. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a specific funding limit or key milestone dates in the initial solicitation.
