The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission in Santa Fe requires economist research and analytical support services to evaluate transportation-related policies, fees, and regulatory impacts. The agency is trying to solve the problem of assessing the economic feasibility of proposed tariffs from individual motor carriers and updating the statewide tariff for wreckers and ambulance services. The selected contractor will provide economic justification for proposed rule changes, fee updates, and statutory modifications, while also evaluating the economic impacts of regulatory changes affecting state transportation operations. The scope of work covers conducting data analysis and forecasting, assisting agency leadership with analytical support for legislative presentations, and attending virtual or in-person meetings. The contractor must provide subject-matter guidance and respond promptly to data or analysis requests. Performance of the work will occur offsite over a contract period of four years. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. Bidders must submit any questions regarding the opportunity no later than June 18, 2026.
