The City of Mississauga is seeking professional consulting services to develop a comprehensive Racquet Sports Strategy that aligns with the 2024 Parks, Recreation, and Library Master Plan. This strategy will provide a framework to guide the sustainable, long-term provision of outdoor tennis and pickleball courts. The agency needs to solve challenges regarding court allocation, site selection, and long-term management of these recreational assets. The scope of work covers evaluating and recommending approaches to shared-use versus dedicated courts, as well as club-based versus public access models. The selected consultant must also recommend site selection criteria, establish a prioritization framework for new facilities, and provide a phased implementation plan that includes capital and operating cost estimates. Additionally, the agency requires recommendations for community engagement, partnerships, programming, and long-term management. Eligibility is restricted to onshore Canadian organizations. The agency requires the performance of the work to be completed offsite.
