Background Check Services

Camden County College in Blackwood, New Jersey, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive background check services. The college needs these services to ensure it hires highly qualified and vetted employees. The selected vendor will perform all work offsite at their own office location. The scope of work requires the vendor to conduct criminal risk assessments and credit worthiness evaluations. Criminal risk checks must include up to three county criminal court record searches covering seven years, federal district criminal court record searches, and a nationwide database search of criminal history including sex offenders for at least seven years. The vendor must also perform multi-state sex offender registry searches, international criminal searches, and a fifty-state name-based criminal history record check. Credit reports will be requested only for specific positions where such checks are job-related and consistent with business necessity under applicable law. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The college is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and cost structure for these services. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 16, 2026.
