Fire Safety Installation System

The Spartanburg Housing Authority in Spartanburg, South Carolina, requires the provision of fire safety installation systems for two specific properties, the A. Lindsay House and the Faucette House. The agency is attempting to upgrade and expand its fire detection and warning capabilities while utilizing existing infrastructure where possible. For both locations, the existing fire panels must remain in place and integrate with the newly installed devices. The scope of work for the A. Lindsay House Fire System Project includes one six-amp power supply with five outputs, fourteen two-zone expanders, and forty photoelectric smoke detectors. The agency also requires four low-flow four-wire photoelectric duct smoke detectors, four three-foot duct smoke sampling tubes, and four remote test stations to initiate the NFPA sensitivity test function. Additionally, the contractor must provide ten indoor low-frequency compact two-wire wall-mount sounders for sleeping rooms, while existing heat detectors, horns, and strobes must remain in place. The scope of work for the Faucette House Fire System Project requires seven fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise thermal detectors, seventy-six photoelectric smoke detectors, eleven addressable monitor modules, and two dual monitor modules. The agency also requires nine double-action pull stations with keys. Existing heat detectors located above the ceiling at this location must be abandoned in place. The agency limits eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected contractor must perform the work offsite at the contractor's own office location. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the project budget and has scheduled a pre-bid meeting for June 24, 2026.
