Security Guard Services

The Town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina requires professional, uniformed security guard services to protect court personnel, town hall staff, and visitors. The agency needs to secure its facilities by implementing entry and egress access control and conducting screen operations. This contract will run for a period of one year, with all work performed onsite at the agency's location. The scope of work requires both armed and unarmed security officers assigned to three specific posts. The unarmed post operates the X-ray machine to screen all incoming bags, packages, and devices, with instructions to confiscate and report illegal items. The two armed posts manage the metal detector screening area and conduct visitor control and roving patrols of the interior and exterior building areas. Daily operations include verifying that the X-ray machine and metal detector function properly before each shift begins. Officers must assist the public with directions, complete daily operating and incident reports, and support life-saving responses as necessary. The agency also requires immediate reporting of unusual incidents or hazardous conditions, such as fires, criminal activity, chemical spills, utility outages, and equipment malfunctions.
