Special Education Director Services

The Minnesota government authority is seeking a vendor to provide special education director services for its arts high school. The agency needs a designated director to ensure compliance with all federal and state special education laws, regulations, and guidance. This representative will maintain accountability for the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of the school's special education programming. The scope of work requires the vendor to recruit, supervise, and coordinate special education service providers to meet student needs and ensure continuity of services. The selected director must conduct regular audits of special education records, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), evaluations, progress reports, and compliance records. Additionally, the role involves developing and delivering ongoing professional development for special education staff, mentoring teachers on instructional practices, and managing service contracts in coordination with the school principal. The agency also requires the vendor to meet with families, students, and school personnel to address concerns and support positive student outcomes. The director will lead special education dispute resolution processes, including complaint investigations, mediation preparation, resolution meetings, and corrective action planning. Performance of all contract work must take place onsite at the school. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested parties.
