Fire Safety Installation System

The Housing Authority of the City of Spartanburg, South Carolina, requires the provision of fire safety installation systems for two specific properties, the Lindsay House and the Faucette House. The agency is seeking to upgrade its fire safety infrastructure while utilizing existing fire panels and certain existing devices at both locations. For the Lindsay House Fire System Project, the scope of work requires one six-amp power supply with five outputs, fourteen two-zone expanders, and forty photoelectric smoke detectors. The project also demands four system sensors with four-wire photoelectric low-flow duct smoke detectors, four three-foot duct smoke sampling tubes, and four remote test stations to initiate the NFPA sensitivity test function. Additionally, the agency requires ten indoor low-frequency compact two-wire wall-mounted sounders for placement in sleeping rooms, while existing heat detectors, horns, and strobes must remain in place. For the Faucette House Fire System Project, the agency requires seven fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise thermal system sensors, seventy-six photoelectric smoke detectors, eleven addressable monitor modules, and two dual monitor modules. The scope also includes nine double-action pull stations with keys, while existing heat detectors above the ceiling must be abandoned in place. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based solely in the United States. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite at the selected vendor's office location. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for these projects. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 24, 2026.
