Prosecuting Attorney Services

The City of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive prosecuting attorney services. The city requires representation in the prosecution of all criminal local misdemeanor violations, civil traffic infractions authorized under the motor vehicle code, and zoning ordinance violations. This legal representation is necessary to enforce local municipal codes and maintain public safety within the jurisdiction. The scope of work covers all aspects of prosecution for local municipal code and zoning ordinance violations. The selected vendor must review filed local ordinance violation cases and prepare these cases for prosecution. Court sessions typically occur two to three days per month, and the attorney must represent the city during these proceedings. Additionally, the vendor must prepare and lead annual training sessions for law enforcement, public safety, and code enforcement staff regarding ordinance updates, amendments, and targeted procedural corrections upon request by the city manager. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. Although the court sessions require an in-person presence, the city indicates that the performance of the general work will be offsite. The city has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of these services. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 8, 2026.
