Parks Bicycle Rental Services

The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation in Montpelier is seeking a vendor to provide a fleet of bicycles for State Park employees to rent to customers. The agency intends for this bike rental operation to promote the bicycle as a means of transportation and recreation for all park visitors. The requested scope of work covers the provision of the bicycle fleet, helmets, and basic tools for light preventative maintenance. The selected vendor must provide basic bike maintenance training to park staff, perform a rental fleet maintenance overhaul two times per season, and conduct a full overhaul of the bicycles during each off-season. Additionally, the vendor must develop a bicycle storage plan in conjunction with the state. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The performance of the work will take place offsite. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested bidders.
