Municipal Planning Strategy and Related By-Law Plan Review Service

The Town is seeking a qualified planning consultant to undertake a comprehensive review of the municipality's planning strategy and related by-laws. The agency needs to identify regulatory gaps and modernize its planning framework through a targeted gap analysis. This initiative will solve the problem of outdated municipal policies by aligning them with current legislative standards and modern planning practices. The scope of work requires the selected consultant to deliver a legislative and policy alignment scan, a background research and best practices report, and a preliminary gap analysis. The consultant must also produce a draft issues and options report followed by a final issues and options report. All project work will be performed offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in Canada. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost.
