Parks Bicycle Rental Services

The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation in Montpelier is seeking a vendor to provide a fleet of bicycles for State Park employees to rent to customers. The agency is establishing this bicycle rental operation to promote the bicycle as a means of transportation and recreation for all park visitors. The scope of work requires the vendor to deliver a package that includes the bicycle fleet, helmets, and basic tools for light preventative maintenance. The selected provider must deliver basic bike maintenance training to park staff and perform a rental fleet maintenance overhaul two times per season. Additionally, the vendor must conduct a full overhaul of the bicycles during each off-season and develop a storage plan in conjunction with the state. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency expects the performance of the work to take place offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of the services.
