Third Party Administrator Medical Services

The agency is seeking a third-party administrator to manage its medical benefits program. The selected vendor must receive, review, and investigate all claims and provider billing information in a timely manner. The administrator will issue appropriate instruments to satisfy claim settlements and utilize legal services for any third-party claims. The scope of work requires the administrator to handle all claimant inquiries and adjust all claims to divert these administrative burdens from agency personnel. Additionally, the vendor must administer COBRA benefits for all current and future enrollees, including members in the fully insured plan. The administrator will also manage the flexible spending account program, which covers both medical and dependent care accounts. The agency requires the administrator to provide plan documents and summary plan descriptions upon contract commencement and upon demand. The vendor must deliver immediate advice and opinions regarding plan provisions and interpretations. Furthermore, the administrator must provide retiree claims cost data for the medical plans to the agency actuary. The vendor must maintain at least the same level of benefits that the agency currently provides to its enrollees. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The selected vendor will perform all work offsite over a contract period of five years.
