The Long Beach Community College District, a government authority located in Long Beach, California, is seeking IT consulting firms to assist in performing discovery, analysis, and strategic planning for its Oracle PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning systems. The agency needs to conduct an ERP health assessment and obtain a holistic evaluation of its current ERP environment, which includes human capital management, financials, and campus solutions. This initiative aims to support the agency's mission of providing educational programs with a commitment to excellence in student learning in a culturally diverse environment. The selected consultant must evaluate the current ERP environment across technical, functional, operational, and user experience considerations. The project covers major functions including the student lifecycle, employee lifecycle, accounting and financial processes, and institutional reporting. The current ERP system is housed on-premise and runs on a SQL server. The scope of work requires the consultant to identify missing, underutilized, or inefficient functionality, as well as opportunities to improve business processes, system utilization, and operational effectiveness. The agency expects an evaluation of the ERP environment in the context of higher education industry trends, future ERP directions, and emerging technologies. The consultant must identify areas for strategic development and deliver a written report that includes the evaluation, recommendations, and an assessment of the current status, health, and viability of the ERP environment. The final deliverable must include a prioritized set of recommendations and an actionable strategic roadmap to support future planning and decision-making. Eligibility is restricted to onshore USA organizations only. The performance of the work may occur either onsite or offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 16, 2026.
