Realtime Captioning and Computer Assisted Real Time Services and ASL Interpreters

The agency is seeking realtime captioning and computer assisted realtime (CART) services, as well as ASL interpreters. These services are for students who are deaf or hard of hearing to ensure they can access audible content during class sessions. The scope includes capturing spoken words, environmental sounds, and audible media during class and delivering it to students' devices via a captioning app or large display. For CART services, providers must demonstrate working knowledge of their software and captioning equipment, including laptops and steno machines, and be able to troubleshoot issues immediately. CART/Realtime Captioner guidelines will require signature upon contract approval. For ASL interpreters, the requirement is to interpret spoken language, environmental sounds, and any media occurring during a class session into ASL or appropriate visual language. Performance of the work will be offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations located within the USA. The contract period will be three years. The agency is looking for proposals.
