Redundant Internet Service

The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority is seeking a vendor to provide a dedicated, secondary internet access service to its government facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The agency requires this redundant connection to ensure continuous operations and network reliability through a completely separate pathway from its primary service. To solve the risk of single-point-of-failure outages, the agency is requesting symmetrical bandwidth delivered exclusively via fiber-optic cabling. The scope of work covers the installation and maintenance of an unmetered, high-availability service operating twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Bidders must provide comprehensive route diversity documentation to prove the physical path does not overlap with the existing primary connection. The requested service must also fully support Border Gateway Protocol routing to manage the failover traffic between the two networks. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The selected vendor must perform all physical installation and setup work onsite at the government authority's location in Ann Arbor.
