The government authority located in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive medical services for financially disadvantaged youth and young adults, typically ranging from 16 to 24 years of age. The agency needs to solve the problem of delivering healthcare services, including medical, dental, mental health, and drug and alcohol intervention, at its Centers. The selected provider must deliver optimal services by utilizing the most efficient and cost-effective practices of contemporary, evidence-based healthcare possible within the available time, resources, and personnel. The scope of work covers examinations and assessments, treatment of acute and minor conditions, issuance of prescriptions for controlled and non-controlled medications, immunizations, and monitoring of health conditions. The provider must conduct initial physical intake examinations, promptly review applicant files, develop medical treatment plans, and manage chronic conditions or disabilities with written diagnoses. Additional responsibilities include providing first aid and CPR, recommending hospitalization, delivering follow-up care, planning prevention interventions, educating for health promotion, maintaining a family planning program, and supervising Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to comply with Colorado state regulations. The agency restricts eligibility to onshore United States vendors, and the performance of the work will be offsite. This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget.
