Wide-Area Two-Way Radio Network Services

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, California, is seeking wide-area two-way radio network services to support managerial and property management staff during emergencies and disaster response. The agency requires a complete solution that includes the provision of equipment, parts, programming, repairs, and maintenance of portable handheld radios and related gear. This network will ensure reliable communication channels when standard infrastructure may be compromised. The requested radio equipment must feature an emergency button for rapid assistance calls and hold a waterproof rating of at least IP68 or equivalent. The agency requires a battery life of at least twelve hours during minimal use and at least eight hours during frequent use. Additionally, the hardware must include GPS integration, accessibility features like keypads for texting and text-to-speech audio, and audio clarity features such as noise cancellation, feedback suppression, and distortion control. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to compete for this contract. The selected contractor will perform the work offsite.
